Australia
SkillCheck Pacific Pty Ltd was established in 1994 by Managing Director John Lescohier with the mission to provide leading edge skill assessment technology to professional recruitment practitioners throughout the Australasian region. With over 15 years experience in recruitment, the time had come for growth and change.
The need was identified for an alternative to traditionally cumbersome, slow, outdated, and expensive skill testing products. SkillCheck perfectly filled the specifications to provide an economical, reliable, easy-to-use and validated method to assess candidates' skills and aptitudes.
New Zealand
The rapid acceptance of SkillCheck in the Australasian region dictated
appointment of an exclusive New Zealand distributor in 1998. Hope-Cross
Consulting Ltd, with over two decades of recruitment experience and local
knowledge throughout New Zealand was the perfect match. Managing Director
Kris Hope-Cross quickly built a strong and loyal customer base, accounting
for over 40% of the New Zealand recruitment consultancies as well an impressive
list of corporate, government and education customers.![]()
United States / Canada
SkillCheck Inc. was founded in 1988 in Boston, MA. At that time, there was only minimal attention paid to the need for skill testing other than the routine typing test and perhaps a few paper-based quizzes. A world-class team was assembled to identify, develop and program the world's most technologically advanced PC based skill testing software.
In February 2006, SkillCheck Inc. was acquired by the US NASQAD listed First Advantage Corporation. This acquisition added further strength and resources, enabling further growth and development of the internationally acclaimed SkillCheck products and services. This acquisition has had no structural or ownership effects on either Australian or New Zealand relationships.
